10 Years Later: A Legacy Worth Fighting For

June 19, 2019 marked Living for Zachary’s ten-year anniversary.  As we look back over the last decade, Zac’s legacy and impact around our state is palpable.  What started as a mission borne out of grief and a desire to save families from this same grief has become something far greater.  Zac’s story is no longer one of heartbreak—it is one of hope and promise as Living for Zachary works each day to provide families and organizations the tools they need to protect teens from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

Take a look at some of Living for Zachary’s impacts in heart screenings over the last ten years:

On June 19th, Living for Zachary’s friends and supporters gathered for a special Evening of Celebration at Gleneagles Country Club.  It was a night full of cheer, reflection, and gratitude as we celebrated the achievements of the past decade and thanked those who have worked tirelessly towards our mission.  We will never be able to adequately express our thanks to the hundreds of donors, volunteers, sponsors, and friends who have believed in and supported Living for Zachary’s mission.

As we step into the next decade and chapter of Living for Zachary, we know that while we have come far, we are far from finished.  We remain committed to making Zac’s legacy even bigger as we reach more families, save more lives, and share his story with thousands more across our state.  We have big dreams and plans for the next ten years, and we hope you will join us along the way.

“Things turn out best for those who make the best of the way things turn out.”  We’ll keep doing just that, Zac.
