1. Families need easy access to free, life-saving services now more than ever.
This year, millions of families find themselves wondering what the future looks like in terms of finances, work, school, activities, and just about everything else. At Living for Zachary, we recognize this is a difficult time for many. Sudden cardiac arrest remains a threat for all families and we’re on a mission to ensure financial hardship does not keep a single North Texas family from receiving important services such as youth heart screenings, AEDs and CPR training. We have heard the reality from heart screening families that they simply would not have been able to afford this service for their child if it was not for a free screening event. We have heard from organizations who only have an AED on premises because our program provided this device at no cost. Your gift during North Texas Giving Day matters, and allows Living for Zachary to bring our programs across Texas to hundreds of families and organizations at no cost.
2. COVID may have slowed us down this spring, but we’re ready to make up for lost time!
In Spring of 2020, hundreds of youth missed out on important services like heart screenings and daily access to AEDs due to COVID restrictions. Putting our program events on hold was not an easy decision, but one that was made with the health and safety of our attendees in mind. Now, we are thrilled to be back saving lives once again and are determined to host even more heart screening events and donate more AEDs to reach those who missed out on these programs last spring. Increasing our number of program events and impact comes at a cost, and that’s why your gift during North Texas Giving Day matters!
